About the Image to PDF converter
Scanned receipts, photographed forms and screenshots often need to be a PDF because that is the only thing the other side will accept. This converter wraps the image in a properly sized page.
The PDF is written byte by byte in your browser. There is no rendering service and no upload, which is why it appears instantly and why the contents stay yours.
Page fitting
On a fixed page size the image is scaled to fit inside the margins and centred, keeping its aspect ratio. Orientation defaults to matching the image, so a wide photograph gets a landscape page.
"Fit the page to the image" makes the page exactly the size of the image with no margins. That is the right choice for screenshots, where whitespace around the edge just looks like a mistake.
Quality and file size
The image is embedded as JPEG, which is what keeps the PDF small. Quality 90 is visually indistinguishable from the original for photographs and scans.
For text-heavy scans, keep the quality high — compression artefacts around letterforms are what make a scan hard to read.
Frequently asked questions
Can I combine several images into one PDF?
Not yet — one image per PDF for now. Multi-page batches are planned.
Is the text in my scan searchable?
No. The page contains a picture of text, not text. Searchable output needs OCR, which this tool does not do.
Does transparency work?
Transparent areas become white, since the image is embedded as JPEG.
